Home / Collections / Veneer & oak

The face is wood. The box is engineered.

Full-cover natural veneer - book-matched where the wall deserves it - on the same E0 plywood box that carries every line we build.

Natural wood veneer panel detail on a cabinet wall

Material

Veneer carries the grain. Plywood carries the load.

The door is full-cover natural veneer - white oak is the standard, walnut the other species we run most. Under it is the E0 plywood box, ≤0.05 mg/m³ under the EN 717-1 protocol (report SQ2405393), so the face you see and the structure you get are specified on the same sheet and tested to the same number. A Saudi villa ran that combination across a kitchen, a master dressing room and two closets, with 5mm tempered glass doors placed where the room needed light through the cabinetry.

Where a wall deserves it, veneer panels come book-matched: two panels opened from one sheet so the grain mirrors across the joint. Book-matching is quoted per spec; the 12 standard colours and the veneer list are on the finishes page.

FAQ

Veneer, in plain answers.

Is the wood solid or veneer?
Full-cover natural veneer on the E0 plywood box is the standard - the veneer carries the grain, the plywood carries the strength. Solid oak is available for profiles that take a plane. Both are written into the spec sheet, so a replacement panel is matched to the document, not to memory.
What does book-matched mean?
Two panels opened from one veneer sheet, like a book, so the grain mirrors across the joint. We use it where a wall deserves it - usually the uppers over an island. Book-matching is quoted per spec on your drawings.
Which species do you run?
White oak is the standard face, in natural and smoked reads; walnut is the other species we run most. The full finish list - veneers and the 12 standard painted colours - is on the finishes page.
How do veneer doors get maintained?
The same care as any oiled or matte wood face: a soft, lightly damp cloth, and the 2 mm PVB edge banding keeps the panel edge sealed through flat-pack shipping and years of use. The spec sheet carries the finish code for any future matching.
What is the lead time, and how does it ship?
10-14 days in the factory, then DDP 18-22 days to the US West or 15-20 to Sydney. Flat-pack, crated, duty-paid - veneer doors and box land in the same crate.
