Home / Collections / Fluted

The wall that gets noticed.

Fine vertical flutes that catch the light. The strongest visual in the range - islands, wardrobe fronts and the one wall in a room that should be noticed.

Fluted white oak cabinet doors with fine vertical reeded grain

Collection 03

A profile that does the detailing.

Fluted is white oak with fine vertical reeds milled into the door face, so light and shadow do the work a handle or trim would. It's the strongest visual in the range - and the one we deliberately keep to a single wall, where a flat face would disappear.

The same profile ships three ways: white oak as the standard, smoked white oak for the darker read, or painted in any RAL on the lacquer schedule. Under the face is the usual box - E0 plywood, 2 mm PVB edge, Blum hardware rated to 50,000 cycles.

Hardware & fit-out

The fittings behind the reeds.

The reed face is flat enough to hide the fittings: full-extension pull-outs, damped doors, and a corner pull-out where the plan needs it.

FAQ

Fluted, in plain answers.

What exactly is the fluted profile?
Fine vertical reeds milled into the full door face, top to bottom, so light and shadow do the detailing and the profile reads from across the room. We keep the flute fine rather than bold - texture, not a statement piece.
Is Fluted only white oak?
No. White oak is the standard face, but the same profile ships painted in any RAL on the lacquer schedule - the fluted doors, matte lacquer, are the option our walk-in programs order most. The schedule is on the lacquer page.
Where do you actually use it?
Islands, wardrobe fronts, pantries and the one wall in a room that should be noticed. In programs it usually carries one wall and lets the rest of the run stay quiet - the 48-unit walk-in program in our closet cases mixed Fluted fronts with lacquered uppers.
Does the flute complicate matching later?
The profile is milled before finishing, so the finish covers the flute walls - the door then maintains itself like any oiled or matte-lacquered door. Replacement panels are matched by the finish code that ships on the spec sheet.
What is the lead time, and how does it ship?
10-14 days in the factory, then DDP 18-22 days to the US West or 15-20 to Sydney. Flat-pack, crated, duty-paid, hardware bagged to the layout drawing.
